Buoyancy and magnetic principles

The working principle of the duckbill float switch is based on buoyancy and magnetic principles. Specifically, it consists of two parts: a floating ball and an internal magnetic spring switch. The float moves up and down with the rise and fall of the liquid level, and controls the closure or disconnection of the magnetic spring switch through magnetic action, thereby achieving the function of liquid level control or signal remote transmission.

The structure of a duckbill float switch: It usually consists of one or more hollow float balls, which are equipped with a circular magnet inside and connected by a closed non-magnetic tube (such as a metal or plastic tube). One or more reed switches (magnetic reed switches) are installed inside the tube, and these reed switches will produce a suction or disconnection action when the float moves.
